John Velvin Education Fund
Family and friends of the late John Velvin, who lived with long-term chronic kidney disease, set up a trust in his name to provide support to New Zealanders with chronic kidney disease. The trust has now been wound up and the funds passed on to Kidney Kids to manage. It will be known as the John Velvin Education Fund.
Purpose
To provide educational support to registered kidney kids living with chronic kidney conditions whose education opportunities have been compromised because of their disorder. The aim is to ensure that our “kids” can keep up with their peers through remedial education and support.
